Andrea made a cute little video today to wish one of her awesome aunts a happy birthday. However.....it won't upload. I have a lot on my plate tonight and can't fight with it any longer, so just a simple "Happy birthday Aunt Audrey!!" will have to do for tonight. Maybe tomorrow I will be able to get it to upload.

I got the babysitting job! I start tomorrow. The mother is a traveling nurse, and only works 3 days a week, so I will only have the little girl 1-3 days a week, depending on her schedule. I will only have her Tuesday this week, as she will be at her Aunt's house for the weekend while her mom is working and grandma is out of town. I hope it works out!! Thanks for your prayers!

I have been putting Sawyer in the nursery in church for about 2 months now, when I know who is in there with the kids. Sawyer has been sick for almost 2 weeks now, so I have not put him in to play with the other babies, instead I play with him in the nursing mothers room. This past Sunday in church, I was in the nursing mothers room talking to the grandmother of a 4 month old from our church. Her mother is a single mom who just got a very demanding job. She had childcare set up when she got the job, but it fell through. As the grandmother was telling me about this, I found myself saying "Let me talk to Shawn, and if she wants me to do it, I'd be happy to watch her!" Well, I am meeting with them on Monday to go over all the details, but both the mother and I are feeling very good about this! So, with any luck, I will soon be watching a very sweet, adorable 4 month old girl a few days a week! Pray for me!! Wait, that could be taken the wrong way, what I meant was pray that if this is what God want for us, let it happen!

This is one of the many reasons why Shawn and I are talking about moving out of NY.

This was the Friday before Christmas. Yes, that is Shawn's truck that I got stuck at the bottom of the driveway.

A few days ago, we had a bad wind storm that blew a window out of my porch and broke it. Last night we got a little snow storm, and this is what my porch looked like.

This is what was left of Shawn's footprint from leaving for work just 20 minutes before I took these pictures.

He took the Durango to work, because there was no way he was going to get his 2 wheel drive truck out of the driveway. Here's his tracks.

I have never been good at new years resolutions. Maybe because I have the same one every year. Very redundant, I know. I have been evaluating my life a lot lately and have found many areas that I want to change. I have always been very good at knowing what I should change about myself, and knowing my faults, but I have never been good at correcting them. I think this time it may be different. I have figured out that my looking at these things in my life and feeling anger about them is not helping the matters. Not at all. I have been looking at them recently and calmly telling myself "I really don't like that I am like this. I want to be more like this becuase I think I will be happier, healthier, and a better mother and wife." This seems to be working for me. I have been hiding behind myself for so long now that I don't really know who I am. I am really looking forward to meeting myself this year.

I don't know if it was the addition of another family member this year or because it was our first Christmas in our first house, but this was by far the best Christmas in years!!

Sawyer liked eating the gifts.

Andrea was amazing. The plan was to open gifts at 2:00 when everyone arrived. That would give them plenty of time to play before eating at 5:00. Well, the turkey was done early, so we didn't open gifts until after eating and most of the dishes were done. I think she only asked once all day long to open her presents.

This was the first present Sawyer opened. He loved it. He was playing with it before it was even all unwrapped. Then, when we moved on to other presents, he kept going back to this one. I ended up opening most of his presents and then just sticking them on the floor in front of him.

Andrea had this giant bag of gifts that she had to crawl into in order to get the gifts out of the bottom. The bag was almost as tall as she is!!

Sawyer LOVES all of his new toys!!!

Both of my kids were sick though. So in a lot of the video we took you hear Andrea coughing, and in most of the pictures Sawyers mouth is gaping open so the poor kid could breath.

He had a great time playing with his new treasures, even if he couldn't breath!

It didn't take him long to figure out how to make them all work.

Sawyer loves Andrea's little keyboard. He was playin with it last week and I just had to get video of it! I had planned to post this that day, but decided no one would really want to watch a 3 minute video of a baby playing. Then I watched Bella playing, and realized I was wrong.

Here are some shots I got today, day 2 of Christmas pictures. They were both fairly uncooperative. I still have not been able to get the shot I want, which is really frustrating. I am looking at my little set up over here, knowing just what I want, but I am still not able to achieve it.
